CORZINE’S PLAN WILL REDUCE THE AVAILABILITY OF SERVICES…
Governor Corzine’s plan to furlough workers in this office is coming at exactly the time that we know our services are most needed. Due to the number of people hit hard by this economy, the wait for our services is already too long. Governor Corzine’s current plan calls for taking every worker out of this office for one day a month for the next year – a move that will only make it more difficult for you to get the services to which you are entitled.
…AND IT WON’T SAVE THE STATE ANY MONEY
Not only will Corzine’s plan for furloughs have a negative impact on services, it will also not save the State of New Jersey one dime. Our positions here are federally-funded so by furloughing us the State is not saving money, but instead sending money given to us by the government to provide services back to Washington, D.C.
Call or e-mail Governor Corzine and tell him that his plan to cut services by furloughing workers is the wrong plan at the wrong time.
Tell him to find a fairer, smarter way to balance NJ’s budget.
